Gas log sets are the simplest and most popular gas hearth product. They are designed to be installed within an existing woodburning fireplace or pre-fab fireplaces using the existing chimney. Vented log sets work like woodburning fireplaces in that they draw air from the room for combustion while venting by-products up the chimney.

Like wood fires, much of the heat generated is lost up the chimney, making these primarily an aesthetic appliance. Gas logs are available in a variety of styles and sizes to fit any fireplace in either natural or propane gas.
